I grew up in Kwa-Zulu Natal and matriculated from Maritzburg College before moving to Cape Town where I first completed a bachelor’s degree at the University of Cape Town (Politics, Philosophy, Economics) before reading law through UNISA.
I served articles and then worked as an admitted attorney in Cape Town with Findlay & Tait Attorneys (now Bowmans). After more than 6 years at Bowmans, I moved into financial services – joining the boutique asset management firm of Alphen Asset Management in August 2005. Alphen Asset Management merged into what is now PSG Asset Management and I served in various client service, sales, marketing and advisory roles until I left at the end of February 2017 to become an Independent Certified Financial Planner.
In addition to being an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and holding a qualification in South African Tax, I have been a Certified Financial Planner® since 2008 and am a member of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa.
I am practising as a Certified Financial Planner at Wealth Preservation Strategies in Newlands, Cape Town.
Outside the office I enjoy reading about Markets and Investments and being active. I completed my first Ironman South Africa this year.
